Mary and Gabe’s wedding, photographed by Bell Studio, took place in Debrecen, Hungary. Using a simple colour scheme of blue and yellow (check out the bride’s blue shoes!), they created a beautiful spring theme. On their return from honeymoon the couple took part in a post-wedding creative shoot, and we’ve included some of the fantastic pictures from the shoot in this post.
“We live in Budapest, but for our wedding day we chose Debrecen, because we found everything there we wanted for our special day; we loved the place from the first sight.
“We wanted our wedding to be simple and tasteful, and it was important to us to have our wedding in a natural environment. The event room was stylish, modern and barely required any decoration. We put the focus on the spring atmosphere by placing fresh spring flowers in handmade ceramic pots on every table. We chose blue and yellow as our main colours to relay the spring character, using these colours in our clothing and accessories.
“We wanted to make the day very easy, so the church ceremony and the wedding party took place on the same day, with the creative photos taken after our honeymoon.
“There were some special features to the wedding day; the pastor who held the ceremony was Gabe’s ex-teacher and a good friend of his, and our wedding cake and thank you gifts were made by one of our kind friends, inspired by a macaroon cake. We practiced our first dance a lot, with heart and hand, and fortunately the guests appreciated it very much. The whole day was filled with happiness and love, and we enjoyed every minute of it.”
