We absolutely love Claire and Craig’s incredible Christmas wedding at South Farm in Royston. The styling details are so pretty, and we love lace and hessian which has become a big trend for wedding decor. The twinkling lights, wreath and crackers for the children, all add a touch of seasonal charm to this December wedding.
Claire’s Lou Lou wedding dress is simply to die for, the groom and groomsmen look so cool in their tweed jackets, and wait until you see the pageboys; oh my goodness, cute overload…
“Our wedding was shabby chic and rustic styled — although we got married Christmas week but we wanted to avoid a Christmas or winter theme. Our reception was in a beautiful barn at South Farm, and we knew immediately what we would like to do.
“Hearts were a feature of our day. Our table plan, which we made ourselves, had little heart pegs holding the table lists, our flower jugs had a heart embossed on them, and our favours for the girls were wooden keepsake hearts that could be hung on a Christmas tree. I had a heart shape cut from the jacket that my Nan wore to my Mum and Dad’s wedding, and the seamstress added this to the inside of my wedding dress. Craig surprised me on our wedding day with leaving me a heart shaped white gold locket and chain to be worn on my wedding day that included a picture of my wonderful Nan — very special.
“We had hessian and lace chair ties and matching table runners and bunting. Although much of the colour scheme was cream, beige and brown we chose to have orange ties and pocket squares for the lads which complemented our flowers.”
