Annie and James married on Easter Saturday on the banks of the River Thames, with a ceremony in Putney and their reception in Kew. As they married at Easter the couple styled a spring and wildflower themed wedding with an abundance of colour. To involve their wedding guests they had a ‘Bake Off’ where guests brought along a handmade cake to share, ushers made their own beer for welcome drinks, and Annie’s mum made meters of bunting.
So, here are more of their fantastic pictures, captured by Terry Li Photography…
“Our wedding was held on Easter Saturday so our theme was spring and wildflowers, and we didn’t want one colour scheme so we had a range of bright colours. Our aim was to hold a big party with our friends and family involved. For our welcome drinks we asked two of the Ushers to brew beer, my mum made 40m of bunting to decorate the hall, and we designed and created the table plan ourselves based on different places we’ve travelled to, as we both really enjoy travelling.
“We had a civil ceremony at Winchester House on the river in Putney, followed by a reception at Avenue Halls in Kew. We chose this venue because we had free reign over what we wanted to do, and there was no corkage! We had a sit down hog roast which was delicious, and for dessert we held a ‘Bake Off’ where anyone could enter with a homemade cake of their choice. We were very impressed with standard, and the most popular was the gin and tonic cake.
“Our photographer was Terry Li. She did an amazing job — exactly what we wanted. We loved how the photos were so natural and that she captured lots of special moments. She was also very unobtrusive; we hardly noticed she was there.”
