“The concept of the shoot was a young, hip ballerina about town gets married in a low key city ceremony — an unconventional culture clash of dreamy fantasy and a chic urban edge.
“There was no fancy location — we used a studio above a shop in Saffron Walden — and we wanted to challenge brides to think outside of all the mainstream things they are seeing. There is a door with writing on which could be used as a table plan or for guest messages, coned table flower displays, and the crystals on the table as an alternative to glitter and traditional sparkle. The use of succulents and air plants gave a new twist to the floral arrangements, which included menta roses, silvery lilac delphiniums, dusty eucalyptus, tapered Veronica, and starbursts of astrantia, and the subtle colour palette of silver grey, ice blue and powder pink linked throughout.”
