This week’s real wedding pictures, taken by Betti Confetti Wedding Photography, are from the beautiful wedding of Léonie & Rob. Following a ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall, Léonie, Rob and their guests enjoyed an afternoon tea reception at Clissold House…
“We didn’t have a particular theme, we just wanted to have all of the things we love at our wedding. We spent 10 months collecting pretty tea cups, saucers and plates to use, which made good talking points on the day for our afternoon tea. Also, the little plants in tins we had collected looked really pretty placed around the reception venue. I loved walking into our venue to see all of the things we had collected over the 10 months laid out so beautifully. Looking around to see all of the people we love enjoying themselves in beautiful surroundings was really special.
“My dress is estimated to be from 1912; I loved it as soon as I saw it. It had amazing hand stitched detail and I love to think about all the different brides who have worn it in the past. Rob had his suit made as he had a particular colour and style in mind. We didn’t have bridesmaids or groomsmen but our closest family wore paper rose corsages or buttonholes, which look really effective in the photographs. My paper rose bouquet, buttonholes and corsages were a fantastic find. We chose the paper we wanted to use and sent them to Moll and Mostin who created them for us.
“We had quite a relaxed approach when planning our wedding and I think this meant we were both relaxed on the day and really able to enjoy it. Our advice is to just have exactly what you want, and not what you think you should have.”
