Today we are sharing pictures from a beautiful, traditional wedding, photographed by Fiona Kelly Photography. We love the classic elegance, and the beautiful pink and gold elements really enhance the luxury and splendour of this wedding at Moor Park Mansion.
We love the styling details Jennie and Edward have chosen, particularly the wedding seating plan framed with gypsophila…
“We wanted a traditional, classic wedding during the day followed by a great party in the evening. We didn’t have a strong colour theme but used shades of pink and gold in our stationery, flowers and bridesmaid dresses.
“We wanted to get married in a place that had a lot of history for us so our ceremony took place in our home church, where we were both christened and confirmed. We looked at a number of venues near to the church in the weeks after we got engaged, and when we visited Moor Park Mansion we loved the venue and the team. Edward said he could picture us having our wedding day there, so we booked it there and then!
“My friend is a very talented trained soprano who sang while we were signing the register, which added a lovely, personal touch to our ceremony. We had a string quartet playing in the church and they followed us to Moor Park to play outside on the steps during the drinks reception.
“Both the church and reception venue were very ornate so didn’t need much decoration. We had domes of gypsophila at the pew ends and hanging near the altar with pretty satin bows. I asked our florist if they could create clouds of gypsophila hovering above each table in the dining room, and I think they did a fantastic job. We didn’t have a traditional top table and instead had a round table which was dressed with a romantic arrangement of gypsophila along the front which trailed over the edge to the floor. We even had gypsophila surrounding our seating plan and the cake.”
