Today we are sharing Catherine and Ben’s beautiful wedding pictures, taken by Fiona Walsh Photography. We absolutely love the details of this shabby chic wedding, with the abundance of handmade details that make their day so special. And what about Catherine’s dress? WOW, it’s just beautiful, with gorgeous French lace and hand-stitched pearl beads and sequins.
We hope you get lots of inspiration for your wedding from these amazing pictures.
“The theme for our wedding was vintage and shabby chic. Almost everything was handmade, including jam jar favours filled with sweets and decorated with brown luggage labels and lace ribbon, and an old suitcase relined with floral fabric and lace which was used as our table plan. We spent hours decorating old jars with lace and pearls which were then filled with flowers throughout the venue. The small details were very important to us, and we had quirky little gifts for the bridal party such as ‘Bridesmaid Survival Kits’, personalised dressing gowns and dress hangers, and also a handkerchief for my father with loving words.
“Our reception was at Langdon Court in Down Thomas; when we viewed the venue we immediately fell in love. The entire manor house and the stunning grounds that surround it were ours for the day. After our meal there was a little surprise for everyone. The waiters who had been serving us all day did not actually work at Langdon Court — they were in fact secret singing waiters. They burst into song and sang for around 20 minutes, and everyone was up and dancing, swinging serviettes, and it really did get the party going. In the evening Britain’s Got Talent finalist Michael Collings sang, and we also had a DJ.”
