There is just one place left for our Picture of the Year vote in January, after this beautiful picture by Jen Owens Images received the most votes from our readers to win our November Picture of the Day competition.
A delighted Jen told us how this picture came about…
“This photo is from the wedding of Justine and Jason, who were married at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh on 4th August 2012. RCPE have access to the private Queen Street Gardens nearby, so after a few fun photos with Justine’s best friends, I took the two of them off for some quiet time together for their couple shots.
“Looking at the photo now, it’s funny to think the forecast that week had predicted rain! I couldn’t have asked for better light — the way it fell through the trees and across the grass was pretty magical. Justine and Jason were surrounded by a warm, summertime glow, and it was such a special moment for this lovely couple on the happiest of days.
“A big thank you to Justine and Jason — they’re a wonderful couple and it was a brilliant day.”
