Oh my days, I am totally smitten with the Truvelle 2018 collection. I am also delighted we’re one of the first to showcase the brand new collection, available online from 6th September and in bridal boutiques at the end of September. These wedding dresses are ultra feminine with sexy backs, plunging necklines and full tulle skirts.
Truvelle’s 2018 bridal collection focusses heavily on design elements carefully curated for real women. Besides providing bridal options for a range of body types and sizes, the new collection boasts Truvelle’s most feminine designs to date, with floating lace elements, endless back details, and added skirt volume. New necklines, like those on the Andrianna and Alix dresses, have proven universally flattering while providing an unparalleled level of comfort.
The indie bridal brand has managed to maintain the minimal style brides associate with Truvelle by infusing simplicity into their details. Long trains in light chiffon give an airy flow, soft layers of tulle add texture without weight or distraction from the clean silhouette, and the ever-subtle infusions of colour create a blank canvas for brides to play with.
Truvelle 2018 brings the brand back to its foundation in effortless and unconventional design, creating simple silhouettes with unique details for the modern bride. The final product is something of a dream.
It was so hard to choose my top three favourite dresses from the collection as I love them all. But, after much deliberation, here they are…
Kim
Come on, how could I not choose ‘Kim’, a beautiful chiffon dress with beaded lace and a modern back tie? While the dress appears simple at first glance, a closer look proves the opposite. Within dreamy layers of off-white chiffon and satin lies a subtle leg slit for added intrigue, and a seemingly uncomplicated bodice is embroidered with beaded Spanish lace. Hidden elements, like a beige mesh, add to the dress structure and comfortability. Chiffon ties wrap around the waist into a unique back feature, where from the skirt flows into a statement train.
Andrianna
The stunning Andrianna wedding dress boasts a simple silhouette with incredible details. The bodice features soft interfacing, boning, and carefully placed seams for an unparalleled fit. The skirt is full and flows from the waist into Truvelle’s longest train to date, with draped tulle adding texture and depth along the way. A ribboned lace overlay gives the simple bodice further interest. Miyuki satin lines the dress from top to toe for total comfort.
Mary
Oh Mary! This is a cute open back wedding dress with beaded cap sleeves and a long train. The statement sleeves are created with a delicate Spanish lace, and the back is given its ‘barely there’ look using a beige mesh that carries over the shoulders to the illusion neckline. The satin bodice lies close to the bust and has boning for extra support. Off-white layers of chiffon, silk and satin give an effortless look that brides can bring their own unique style to.
