Decorating your wedding venue can be a challenging task at the best of times. There is so much to think about; the detailing, tables, chairs, centrepieces, cutlery, place names and more. If you want to make your venue look spectacular, decorating the ceiling will certainly transform a room or space. So, here are some of the top trending wedding ceiling decorations this season…
Fairy Lights
Fairy lights add a warm, romantic feel to your venue. Attach fairy lights to your ceiling to create a pretty canopy, allowing them to follow the shape of the ceiling. You could also swag them slightly to give a softer effect to the room.
Glass Baubles
Glass baubles make great wedding ceiling decorations, and you can fill them with anything from flower stems to tea lights. Suspend them over your reception tables from beams or rustic branches at varying heights. Adding small tea lights to suspended glass baubles will create a pretty floating candlelight effect above you and your guests.
Hanging Lanterns
For extra wow factor and pops of colour, hanging lanterns look stunning hung from ceilings. Choose colours to match or contrast your wedding theme and hang different sizes randomly across your venue ceiling. These work particularly well in a neutral venue or marquee because the colours really stand out.
Ceiling Rings
A great way of adding flowers to a venue ceiling is ceiling rings. Attach flowers which match your table flowers and bouquets to various sized ceiling rings for a pretty, rustic look. You could also team your table flowers with branches to create height and a natural flow. If you fancy a bit of DIY, check out this tutorial on how to make your own flower chandelier.
Festoon Lights
Festoon lighting looks fabulous when hung to make a false ceiling, and will add some fun to your venue. It can also create a lowered ceiling effect to give a cosy and romantic feel. You can use festoon lights to form delicate lighting for outside areas. Place inflatable sofas, warm blankets and coffee tables inside a square of festoon lights for a relaxing chill-out area.
So, get creative and add some wedding ceiling decorations to transform your venue.
