It’s the old cliché of spa beaks and hen parties, but why do something else you are not going to enjoy as much as getting some vital relaxation? If the Champagne bottles pop open whilst relaxing by the pool, so be it; you’re on a hen weekend after all!

Spa treatment stones and towel

I have hand-picked five spa resorts for hen parties which I am hoping will blow your mind. Some may blow your budget, but it will be a hen weekend to remember.

Ribby Hall Village, Near Blackpool, Lancashire

The spa hotel at Ribby Hall village, between Preston and Blackpool, has quite a few accolades, including Certificate of Excellence from trip advisor in 2013. It also has some pretty good rates too, with spa breaks from as little as £99 per person. You have Blackpool on your doorstep too; need I say more? But try not to undo what you have had done in the day!

Treatments start from around £35

Cowley Manor, Near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

A funky hotel offering beautiful gardens, a great restaurant, board games in the drawing rooms and, most importantly, an amazing Spa. Cowley Manor is kind of in the middle of nowhere, with Cheltenham about a 20 minute drive away. So, I expect you’ll want to take advantage of the restaurant and, if there’s enough of you, maybe some private dining in the evening.

Treatments start from around £45

Babington House, Frome, Somerset

Old world charm meets modern day treatments and service at Babington House. This spa resort isn’t the cheapest place to stay for your hen party, but if you don’t mind spending £200+ per person you’ve got yourself a spa break to remember. This is also a popular hotel for celebrities and celebrity marriages, so you can go celeb spotting too.

Treatments start from around £40

Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, Fife

This spa resort is also on the most famous golf course in the world, St Andrews in Scotland. But you haven’t booked to play golf, you have travelled to the Old Course Hotel for the only Kohler spa outside of the USA. With some pretty amazing water treatment, including hydrotherapy and mineral bathing, you have definitely come for relaxation of the highest order.

Treatments start from around £92

Center Parcs Aqua Sana, Sherwood Forest, Near Nottingham

Don’t be put off with Center Parcs being full of families. Lots of hen parties enjoy Center Parks as it’s an all in one resort with some fantastic spa facilities. These include plush treatment rooms, heat-experience rooms, outdoor pool and some fantastic relaxation space.

Your self-contained accommodation consists of modern open plan living (perfect for hen parties), and you can enjoy bike rides, restaurants, bars and fantastic prices.

Weekends from £199 per person, including some treatments
