2015 has been an amazing year, and we have had the busiest summer ever, with most popular stag and hen resorts fit to bursting in May, June and July!
So what were these parties up to, I hear you say. Well, I am just getting to that. Here are the top five most popular trends we’ve seen for both stag dos and hen parties in 2015, in no particular order.
2015’s Top Five Stag Party Trends
Chasing Sunshine Abroad
In 2015, booking a stag do abroad saw its biggest rise since the credit crunch. This may have been down to getting more Euro for your Pound, or quite simply the weather in the UK hasn’t been good enough. More stag parties have been booking the sunshine destinations such as Benidorm, the Balearics and the Canaries.
North Wales
North Wales has also been extremely popular, on the contrary to the sunshine stag destinations. 2015 has seen massive growth, with these stag weekends full of adventure. High adrenalin activities like white water rafting, canyoning, huge zip wires (the biggest in Europe), and mountain climbing all available for your stag party to get amongst.
Bubble Football
Also known as Zorb Football, this has been a huge hit for stag parties in 2015, with most people under the age of 40 having a go (I am not being ageist, just factual (ish)).
If you don’t know what Bubble Football is, where have you been? I’m not sure if it will be as popular next year now every man and his dog have done it.
Motorised Mayhem
It’s always a great idea to include an activity or two to keep the boys from drinking all day, and this year has been no exception. Lots of our stag parties booked quad biking, rage buggy racing, indoor karting, stock car racing and so on.
As technology grows at a phenomenal pace, more and more fantastic motorised activities are being created, giving stags more toys to play with.
Cookery Courses
More stag parties are starting to take an interest in food; preparing it, cooking it, even killing it! There is nothing better than a group of your mates drinking beer whilst learning how to BBQ, enjoying a glass of Prosecco as you flip pizzas, or even learning the spices in a good curry. You also get to eat what you create; happy days.
2015’s Top Five Hen Party Trends
Quad Biking
That’s right girls, you heard it here first — quad biking was the top motorised activity for 2015 hen parties. It was nearly pipped by Hovercrafts, but not quite. Segways was also in the running, however quad biking, whether it’s racing or trekking, was the motorised activity of choice for most hen parties in 2015.
Spa Day
Obviously. Spa Days continued to be a huge hit with hen parties in 2015, and you can see the attraction. Sipping champagne by a pool whilst waiting for a luxurious massage, then a dip in the Jacuzzi before relaxing with your friends — who wouldn’t like that? It won’t be long before stag parties will want a bit of spa day action.
A Day At The Races
This has got to be one of the most exciting days out. All you have to do is turn up looking totally gorgeous, darling! The thrills and spills of the races is a fantastic and memorable day out, whether you’re in Newcastle on Ladies Day or watching the races in good company at Royal Ascot.
Hiring a Manor House
If you don’t want to get up to much, simply swim in your very own private pool, sunbathe in the gardens, enjoy the hot tub, have a BBQ and drink yourself giggly, there is no better way than to hire yourself out a luxurious manor house for your hen party. The Cotswolds is full of these types of properties in some amazing villages.
The Games
Not the Olympics, even though some hen parties treat it like the Olympics. The games is a collection of activities such as It’s a Knockout, West Country Games, Welsh Games, even building cardboard boats. These activities were loved by hens in 2015. They are loads of fun, you get soaked, covered in foam and you don’t have to take it too seriously.
