Over the past few years quite a few locations have jostled to be the top stag destination in the UK. Stag Weekends in Bournemouth, Bristol, North Wales, Newquay and Nottingham have been flying off the shelves like hot cakes in Blackpool. Here I’m going to look at three of the best UK stag destinations I think you should head for.

Bristol

If you’re looking for a stag do in Bristol I would say you like motorised adventure, fantastic nightlife and a stag destination easy to get to. Just off the M4 and M5, Bristol is really accessible. It also has a great rail network and it’s own airport, so getting there is totally covered.

Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol

Bristol also has some wicked stag activities including rage buggies, quad biking, It’s a Knockout, and the hilarious West Country Games.

At night you have two amazing areas to explore; the Waterside, with it’s many bars, clubs, restaurants and huge casino, or the Old Town, where you will find huge sports bars, great restaurants and a couple of gentlemen’s clubs, if you know what I mean (nudge nudge, wink wink).

Bournemouth

Bournemouth is another UK stag weekend destination with loads of promise. Not only does Bournemouth boast a fantastic beach, which is packed out in the summer, Bournemouth also has a micro-climate, making it one of the UK’s hottest and sunniest seaside towns.

Bournemouth

Stag activities in Bournemouth, like Bristol, are also opulent and varied, from shooting paintball guns to jumping off 60 foot cliffs into the sea whilst Coasteering.

At night Bournemouth really comes alive, with buzzing bars and banging clubs. Everything is walk-able from your hotel and crawl-able on the way home. You also have the opportunity of walking to the quieter resorts of Boscombe Bay or Poole via the seafront. Here you will find amazing restaurants and trendy bars.

North Wales

My 3rd recommended UK stag do destination is North Wales. Most stag groups can go clubbing any day of the week, so the chance to go somewhere chilled, ‘away from it all’, with activities that will scare the living daylights out of you, is a favourable idea.

White Water Rafting

White water rafting, proper clay pigeon shooting, hovercraft and rage buggy racing, and a quad bike super trek, where you will go so high you will see seven counties, are what you can expect on North Wales stag do.

You will also find cheaper accommodation, cheaper pints and no traffic jams; sounds like heaven to me!
