The question of whether to organise a stripper for the hen or stag must pop into the best man or chief bridesmaid’s head, once the hen or stag do has been organised.
First of all, are you looking to embarrass or get vengeance — did they get a stripper for you on your hen or stag do? I suppose that’s the main reasoning behind getting a stripper; to embarrass the hen or stag in front of everyone. Giving the group a great laugh and thus creating a memory.

Themed Strippers
These days you have themed strippers such as the ‘Roly Poly’ stripper my friends organised for my stag do. It was very funny and not really that embarrassing, as by the time she arrived I was at a stage where I just didn’t care (I was a little tipsy).
Lap Dancing Clubs
Within the last 15 years lap dancing clubs have popped up in most UK and European cities. So why get a stripper when you can go to a club and humiliate the stag on stage? Most of the boys will also get a personal thrill if they choose to, so going to a lap dancing club is extremely popular with stags, as you can imagine.
Strip Shows
Then you have the cabaret and strip shows for ladies, usually on a weekend and filled to the brim with hen parties. The most famous UK show is the Adonis Cabaret. ‘The Full Monty’ it is not. You will see more six packs then a beer sale at Asda! Usually combined with a drag queen cracking jokes all night, some hens have opted for these types of night over getting a stripper.
So, in my mind I think the hen and stag party stripper has had its day and is no longer as popular as before, but I could be wrong. Let us know what you think.
