Whatever your reasons for booking your stag do last minute, be it a shotgun wedding, people letting you down, or people not making their minds up, you must have a stag do, right? So, forget about a trip down the local boozer because here are five epic last minute stag do destinations in the UK.

Bournemouth

With the summer looming there is no better place in the UK than Bournemouth for a stag do. You’ve got seven miles of clean sandy beaches, incredible nightlife, and so many stag activities on offer you’ll be spoilt for choice, which is a bonus if you’re booking late as there’s more chance of finding availability.

Bournemouth Beach

Popular Stag Activity Ideas: Rage Buggies, Quad Biking, Footgolf, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Brewery Experiences, .22 Assault Rifle Shooting, Escape Rooms, It’s A Knockout… there’s just too many to mention.

Nightlife Options: Casino Entry, Nightclubs, Bar Tours, Lap Dancing Clubs, Greyhound Racing and lots of great restaurants with cuisine from around the world.

Did You Know: Bournemouth has seven miles of Blue Flag golden sandy beaches, which is why GMTV always report from there when there’s a heatwave.

North Wales

If the groom loves adventure and wants to get away from the city then North Wales is the perfect last minute stag do destination. There are so many activities on offer for stag parties looking for adrenalin infused adventure.

Zip Wire in Wales

Popular Stag Activity Ideas: Zip Wire, White Water Rafting, Rage Buggies, Quad Biking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Canyoning, River Bugging, Surfing…

Nightlife Options: It’s not hugely lively in rural North Wales, but if you stay in Llangollen there are quite a few pubs and late-night bars. Or, if you’re in need of a night out, Chester isn’t too far.

Did You Know: North Wales is home to the Fastest Zip Wire IN THE WORLD! You can reach speeds in excess of 100mph, and they have made it even faster for 2019 aiming for 125mph.

Edinburgh

A brilliant stag destination which has been incredibly popular so far in 2019. Edinburgh is a brilliant city to explore, with nightlife so good it’ll put hairs on your chest.

Head to the Grassmarkets for fantastic bars and a young, vibrant atmosphere. The West End is a little higher end, and then you have the Royal Mile with it’s Oldie World pubs, whiskey shops and bars. Last Minute stag weekends are good for most months except the last week in July and the whole of August (see below).

Edinburgh at Night

Popular Stag Activity Ideas: Cliff Jumping, Rage Buggies, White Water Rafting, Footgolf, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Paintball, Whiskey Tasting, Highland Games…

Nightlife Options: Nightclubs, Gentleman’s Clubs, Pubs, Brilliant Restaurants, Bars… Edinburgh is simply a fantastic night out. A weekend will not be enough.

Did You Know: In August, Edinburgh is home to the largest art festival in the world, known as the Fringe Festival, where anyone can perform. The only other two events which sell more tickets are the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Cardiff

A British gem of a stag destination, where the locals are extremely warm and friendly and the nightlife will blow your mind. Cardiff is where legendary stag weekends happen. By day you have brilliant activities on offer, and at night there are just so many places to go, so do your homework.

Mermaid Quay, Cardiff

Popular Stag Activity Ideas: Canyoning, Quad Biking, Rage Buggies, White Water Rafting, Footgolf, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Paintball, Indoor Karts, Welsh Games…

Nightlife Options: You’ve got the bars, restaurants and nightclubs of Cardiff Bay for one night, then Cardiff city centre for your second night… best go for a weekend then! Honestly, I cannot say this enough — the locals are so friendly.

Did You Know: You are only metres away from a sausage roll at any time in the centre of Cardiff as there’s a whopping 14 Greggs!

Bristol

Bristol has been described many times as like a mini London but much friendlier — well that can’t be hard! So why Bristol? Over the years Bristol has had some of the best activity sites in the UK pop up, there’s excellent nightlife, loads of city centre hotels, and it’s easy to get to. All of this makes Bristol a brilliant last-minute stag do destination.

Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol

Popular Stag Activity Ideas: Rage Buggies, Quad Biking, Footgolf, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Bubble Football, .22 Assault Rifle Shooting, Escape Rooms, West Country Games, and so much more.

Nightlife Options: Casino Entry, Nightclubs, Bar Tours, Lap Dancing Clubs, Indoor Karting, River Boat Bar Tours and lots of great restaurants. There are two sections to Bristol, the Harbourside and the old town, so again you must go for two nights to make the most of it.
