More and more stag and hen parties are opting for incredible adventurous activities. To celebrate this trend I have put together five adventurous water themed activities stag and hen groups are currently booking. For all of these activities the specialist equipment will be provided, but I have listed some other item’s you’ll need.

Coasteering

Locations: Newquay, Bournemouth, Torquay and Swansea

Coasteering is one of those activities where you literally have to let yourself go! Traverse a coastline, climbing rock faces, exploring sea-caves and jumping into deep rock pools. The latter is the real test, especially when, in some of the locations, the jump can be up to 60ft!

You Will Need… A towel, something to wear under your wetsuit, trainers you don’t mind getting wet, and balls of steel.

White Water Rafting

Locations: UK Natural: North Wales, Scottish Highlands
UK Man-Made: London, Cardiff and Nottingham
Europe: Bratislava, Valencia, Prague and Krakow

White Water Rafting is the perfect natural hangover cure. All you need is a raft, paddles, instructor and plenty of frothing water. The reason why it’s so popular with stags and hens is it’s an activity the whole group can enjoy together. It’s also extremely exciting and you will laugh your wet suits off!

You Will Need… A towel, something to wear under your wetsuit, and trainers you don’t mind getting wet. You’ll also need to be able to swim at least 25 metres.

Surfing

Location: Newquay

We have some of the best surfing beaches in the world. With a constant stream of Atlantic Rollers (big, not massive waves to you and I) all year round, Cornwall is one of the best places to learn how to surf. Your instructors promise you one thing; the majority of you will learn how to stand by the end of the session — how cool is that!

You Will Need… A towel, something to wear under your wetsuit, and wetsuit booties if you have them, but they’re not essential. You will also need good balance.

Canyoning

Locations: North Wales, South Wales and Scotland

Canyoning, also known as Gorge Walking, is similar to Coasteering. You get to jump into deep pools from high ledges, explore caves and traverse rock faces. However, you’re exploring a gorge carved out by millions of years of water flow, giving you smooth rock slides to slide down and beautiful waterfalls to walk behind.

You Will Need… A towel, something to wear under your wetsuit, trainers you don’t mind getting wet, and the skills of the Milk Tray Man.

Powerboating

Locations: Bournemouth and Southampton

A curve ball, where you don’t have to put on a wet suit! Take to the English channel and carve a frothing path whilst hitting breakneck speeds across a race track with no barriers (except for other sea going vessels, so watch out for them). You not only get to race these incredibly fast boats, you also experience a high speed tour in proper race-prepared speed boats.

You Will Need… A change of clothes and towel in case it’s very wet!

Please Note: Some of the above activity descriptions will vary depending on your chosen hen/stag destination.
