The first dance is the last formal part of the wedding day, but is of significant importance. Choosing your first dance song can be a difficult decision, however I’m sure you have made many other tricky decisions as you plan your big day.
With the widespread popularity of sites like YouTube, some couples have opted for non-traditional and amusing choreographed first wedding dances to more up tempo songs than traditional first dances. I remember witnessing a couple performing a karaoke version of Meatloaf’s ‘Dead Ringer For Love’. It was a highlight of my evening, but very much a one-off.
The most popular first dance song played at weddings so far in 2013 is Adele’s version of the Bob Dylan classic ‘Make You Feel My Love’. Apparently this was the first dance song at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.
Your first dance song, in my opinion, should be very personal to you as a couple, and should signify something very important in your lives.
So, here’s what’s hot at weddings in the UK this year — the top 10 first dance songs for 2013. Hopefully this will make your selection process easier.
