The bridal world’s love for vintage and a nod to past eras is not going anywhere, and seems to be as strong a trend as ever. One of my favourite themes is the vintage tea party wedding. Think pretty teacups filled with flowers, tiered glass cake stands hosting colourful cupcakes, bunting and handcrafted favours. But how do you incorporate some of that style into your wedding day bridal look? Here are some of my top ideas for bridal accessories for a vintage tea party wedding…
Birdcage Veils
Birdcage veils are a striking and modern alternative to the traditional veil. They work well with shorter prom-style dresses (also perfect for a vintage tea party wedding theme), a pair of pearl drop bridal earrings and some bright red lipstick.
Hair Accessories
Tea party wedding dresses look great with styled hair. Either curls with a couple of pretty hairpins or a low chignon accented with an ornate crystal wedding hair comb.
Headpieces
But what if you want to go for a more traditional wedding dress? High-necked lace dresses are popular and complemented beautifully with intricately crafted bridal headpieces.
Jewellery
Or pin some fresh flowers in your hair and wear a long pendant and pearls around your wrist.
I would love to hear your bridal accessory ideas for your own vintage tea party themed wedding.
