What type of venue is The Elvetham Hotel and how old is the building?
The Elvetham is a Victorian Gothic Mansion wedding venue set within 35 acres of gardens and grounds. It was built in 1860 and still has many original features including painted ceilings, magnificent stone fireplaces and stained glass windows.
Why should couples choose to marry at The Elvetham Hotel? What can a couple expect from having their wedding at The Elvetham Hotel?
The Elvetham is a truly unique, privately owned venue, where customer service and attention to detail make every wedding special.
What is the capacity for a wedding ceremony and wedding reception at The Elvetham Hotel? How many rooms do you have for couples to choose from?
We have 4 rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies. Our smallest is the beautiful Morning Room which is licensed for 60, and the largest is our Grand Library, licensed for 200. Our most popular room is the stunning Oak Room, with oak panelling and stone fireplace; this is licensed for 120. For marquee weddings we can also use the Conservatory which is licensed for 160 guests.
Does The Elvetham Hotel have rooms for guest to stay, and if so how many and at what price?
We have 72 guest bedrooms; we offer these at the special reduced rate for wedding guests of £85 per double room, including full English breakfast.
What is the best thing about having your wedding at The Elvetham Hotel?
The service you will receive and being able to feel entirely at home and relaxed whilst being thoroughly spoilt at the same time.
How many weddings does The Elvetham Hotel hold per year on average?
We hold over 100 weddings per year, but only ever one per day, so the bride will always be the most special person we have to look after.
Does The Elvetham Hotel have a set price for weddings or is there a tiered pricing structure? What are the packages available?
We work on a venue hire price for the day and then put a bespoke package together for every couple. This way they get exactly what they are looking for on the day.
Does The Elvetham Hotel offer exclusive use, and if so is there an extra charge for this?
All our Saturday weddings are offered on an exclusive basis; the venue hire fee reflects this.
Does The Elvetham Hotel have a wedding co-ordinator on-site and are they available on the day of the wedding?
We have two full-time wedding co-ordinators to help you with any queries or questions along the way; they will co-ordinate and communicate your requirements until the day of the wedding. On the day our very experienced management team take over and look after your every wish until the early hours.
What is your top tip for choosing the perfect wedding venue?
It is very important that it is a venue you feel at home in; you must be able to be yourself so you can relax and enjoy every minute of the day. You must also have complete trust in the venue that they will look after you and deliver the day of your dreams.
