How did PhotosBooths start and how long has the business been going?

PhotosBooths began in 2011 as photo booths started to gain popularity at weddings and parties around the UK. Several of our team members were professional wedding photographers, and noticed that booths started to appear at the weddings we were covering. We decided to start offering photo booth services, with an emphasis on great quality photos and affordable pricing.

Who works at PhotosBooths and what are your roles?

We have a small team of six attendants and assistants. All our team members have at least three years experience in the photo booth industry, and extensive training on every aspect of our booths.

How long can couples hire the booth for?

There are no restrictions on the total length of hire, but most couples choose to hire our booths for three or four hours. This should provide ample time for all of your guests to have some fun in the booth. However, we have had some booths hired for as long as eight hours for a wedding.

Describe PhotosBooths in three words.

Professional, affordable, reliable

Tell us a little bit about ‘A Day in the Life of’ PhotosBooths

We have events on almost every day of the week throughout the year, so we’re always busy. Most events are in the evenings, so our mornings usually involve admin work and booth maintenance. Our admin involves replying to quote requests, liaising with clients and preparing customised print layouts. Our photo booth maintenance includes recharging batteries, uploading previous event photos, cleaning the touchscreens, testing all the electrics, and ensuring the booth is in great shape for the next event.

When it is time to leave for an event, we always leave ample time to travel to the venue in case of unforeseen traffic and delays. Once there, we quickly and quietly assemble the booths before guests start their fun.

Our attendants always stay with the booth, helping guests use the booth and write in the guest book. At the end of the booking, our attendants swiftly remove the booth from the venue, leaving the guests to enjoy the rest of the event.

Random question… If you could have anyone in your photo booth, who would it be and why?

I have always thought it would be interesting to meet King Henry VIII. He would also likely be the largest person to have entered one of our booths.
