Do you have a favourite destination for honeymoons and why have you chosen this one in particular?
As a personal preference I would have to choose Botswana or South Africa, two destinations my own honeymoon covered. The diversity of wildlife and beautifully contrasting locations makes these places very special. There are locations here secluded, absolutely jaw dropping and exceptional in every way, from the service of the staff, to the smooth luxury of the property you stay in, to the wild aura that surrounds you.
What is the best thing about your job?
For me it’s getting to share a place I love with people who have never experienced it before. I was born and raised in South Africa and over the years I’ve visited nearly every region within Southern and East Africa. I’m very jealous of clients who will be experiencing Africa for the first time as I know the thrill they’ll get discovering all it has to offer.
What is your top tip for choosing your perfect honeymoon location?
The location or locations you choose very much depend on your personal preference and what you are looking for in terms of romance, adventure or just a place to relax and escape the world. One of the most important things I would advise is to book with a travel agent or tour operator you trust, and one with a strong knowledge of Africa.
