What does Lucy Ledger Designs do?
Lucy Ledger Designs creates unique, quirky, nostalgia inspired paper pretty and design.
How did Lucy Ledger Designs come about and how long has the company been running?
The company has been running for three and a half years. I set it up alongside a day job and built it up, and I have been full time for just over 2 years. I still can’t believe how quickly the business has progressed in such a short space of time.
Have you always been creative?
Yes, I was an art student and then a graphic designer, web designer and illustrator for 10 years before I launched the business.
Describe your studio
The studio is a beautiful light and airy room in the attic space of an old building.
What wedding stationery can Lucy Ledger Designs make?
Anything you need we can produce! We have a comprehensive list on the website, but are willing to create any product needed for the big day.
Do you offer a bespoke wedding stationery service as well as your collections?
Yes. I charge a flat fee of £150 for the design and consultation. The prices per item are then the same as the collections, or if one-off layout designs are requested I can quote per item.
How do you create bespoke stationery for each of your couples? What’s involved in the planning?
The couple provide a comprehensive brief and a Pinterest moodboard for me to come up with their perfect design.
Does Lucy Ledger Designs just make wedding stationery or do you have other products and services?
No! I do greetings, prints, phone cases and other gifts, and I have a web design and branding service.
Do you have a favourite stationery collection that Lucy Ledger Designs has made?
I will always have a soft spot for the Coastal retreat collection which was inspired by my dad and his love of the sea, and the design inspired by the rustic coastline of New England, my favourite place in the world.
Random question… Where is your favourite place in the UK and why?
Barmouth in Wales. We had our holiday there every year when I was young; I can’t wait to do the same with my son.
