Leez Priory was built in 1536 for Sir Richard Rich, Earl of Warwick. Over the years the Priory has been visited by many members of the royal family, including HRH Queen Elizabeth I and HRH Princess Mary.
In 1995 Leez Priory was the very first wedding venue in England to be granted a Civil Ceremony License, allowing couples to marry outside of a registry office or church.

The venue prides itself on its catering, and the Head Chef, together with all the staff, is employed by the company to ensure high standards are met. Unfortunately, we do not allow outside caterers.

Leez Priory has 15 bedrooms including the Bridal Suite, plus The Fisherman’s Cottage for the bride and bridesmaids to stay the night before.
How many weddings does Leez Priory hold per year on average?
On average we hold 268 weddings each year.
Does Leez Priory have a wedding co-ordinator on site and are they available on the day of the wedding?
Yes, the venue has a team of Front of House Managers who will help to plan the wedding day. They are on site to greet the bride on the morning of the wedding, and will remain on site until the happy couple depart the following day. We pride ourselves on each day being “planned to perfection”.
