With the last burst of autumn upon us before we make the transition into winter, this fabulous woodland inspired autumn eco wedding shoot is just perfect for this time of year. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons for a wedding because the landscape is aglow with colour and beautiful natural elements. These autumn wedding styling ideas also add an eco twist.
Of course, the colour palette with browns, reds and oranges is indicative of the season. Natural elements such as leaves, pine cones, fruit and berries feature heavily throughout, making these ideas easy to recreate. Also, the inclusion of some very cute handmade extras such as the little felt acorns and toadstools adds a fun element.
The details of this styled shoot have been cleverly brought together to create this charming inspiration, including the rustic tablescape, hand-painted wedding cake, autumnal floral arrangements and amazing customised wedding dress. But the thing I love most about these ideas is the chutney station! Displayed on a old pallet, they look terrific, and autumn just wouldn’t be the same without homemade chutney!
I hope you enjoy these woodland inspired autumn eco wedding styling ideas, photographed so beautiful by Lilybean Photography.
Woodland Theme
“The inspiration for this shoot was the natural colours and textures of the Hampshire woodland surroundings. Using a team of creative suppliers and eco-friendly products we created a light, airy and natural theme throughout.
“The cake, delicately hand-painted with a flourish of watercolour leaves in burnt oranges and yellows, matched the warm woodland theme wonderfully.
“Homemade chutney in pretty recycled jars and felted toadstools for the children made perfect favours. The eco-friendly wedding stationery followed the woodland theme, and all the food was from the farmers market.”
Eco-Friendly Bridal Style
“Embellished with embroidered leaves and flowers, we chose the 18th century silk gown to fit in with the eco-friendly ethos. The deep hues of the bouquet enhanced the details on the dress, which married with the dried flowers of the crown.
“Our hair and make-up artist created a rustic style boho plait which they could entwine the flower crown in, and used eco make-up to create a natural look.”
Natural Surroundings
“The photographers are woodland dwellers and love to work with the beauty of the natural surroundings of wherever they are. Their work certainly reflects this.
“Our amazing videographer worked hard to capture all the moments in his natural fly on the wall style we have always liked so much.
“We know it can be very difficult for eco-friendly brides to find inspiration for their own weddings. So, we wanted to create a shoot, with eco-friendly products, full of the warmth, colours and textures of the natural beauty surrounding us.”
