“We wanted to create a magical vintage, yet authentic look on the photo shoot. We worked outdoors (in between showers!) just using daylight and one giant reflector, and this allowed the natural beauty of the young girls to shine through. Keeping it simple works best, especially with little ones, as it’s all about ensuring they are relaxed in front of the camera so you can capture that wide-eyed innocence.” Ursula Kelly Photography
“The girls on the shoot were selected for their beautiful doll-like skin, wide eyes and innocence. The make-up I applied was very minimal; a touch of Vaseline on the lips of the younger girls ( Livi and Tianna ), with a slight POP of colour on their cheeks.
“For Bonnie (the older girl) I added a highlighter to really enhance her skin, a very small amount of cream eye gloss to the base of her lids and a very light stroke of mascara.
“The hairstyles I created also needed to be innocent, relaxed and not too contrived, and they were complemented by the simple, cute flower crowns and lace headpieces.” Claire Salter
