Have you ever looked at a homeware catalogue and been inspired for your wedding styling? If not, maybe you should! The team behind today’s amazing styled wedding shoot did exactly that, and created this beautiful wedding styling inspiration using timeless, classic furniture as the focal point.
With the midnight blue accents and the rich green backdrop of the location, photographer Gianny Campos was able to capture the colours and styling in all their glory.
So, next time you have the Laura Ashley catalogue out, maybe you’ll find some wedding inspiration.
“Browsing the Restoration Hardware catalogue inspired this shoot — their collection boasts ‘historical design’ with timeless, updated classics. The picturesque avocado farm, The Old Grove in Miami, provided the idea backdrop.
“Brass and crystal elements furthered our historical design and accentuated the decor, and rich greens with ranunculus, dahlia and other white flowers reflected Florida’s greenery. The blue velvet ribbon added to the bridal bouquet and buttonhole gave a subtle pop of colour and complemented the design perfectly.
“I set out to replicate Restoration Hardware’s classic yet modern aesthetic using a weathered oak table as the focal point, which was paired with rustic, cross-back chairs and an over-sized cream settee. A jolt of colour was added to the neutral and cream colour palette by the Atlantic blue place settings, with the place cards handwritten to add more personality to the table, and our simple yet stunning three-tier cake honed in on the timeless feel.
“The design paired with subdued make-up and bold lips, and a striking Monique Lhullier gown, gave the perfect blend of timeless with a touch of modern. Gianny Campos has a love for natural light photography, and her ability to capture the details and light so delicately gave the shoot a sense of permanence.”
