A great way to create a visual delight for your wedding is with flowers… by bringing the outside in. I just adore these rustic wedding table styling ideas with homegrown flowers.

Caroline of Fleur Provocateur created the most heavenly floral displays for this shoot, showing just how glorious garden flowers are. Hydrangeas, roses, peonies, delphiniums, forget-me-nots, lavender, alchemilla mollis and ranunculus feature in the displays. The colours work so well together; hues of purple, pink, blue, peach and green.

Set along the rustic tables in the beautiful venue, the displays in clear glass vases and bottles — some small, some large — offer visual delight on all levels. From the grand arrangement in the centre of the table full of luscious blooms, to the small glass bottles with just a few stems of flowers, everything helps create a rustic charm.

The floral table arrangements inspired the pretty bridal bouquet and cute jars of flowers that would look amazing lining a ceremony aisle. The flowers also inspired the delightful hand-painted wedding stationery by de Winton Paper Co.

You can grow all of the flowers used in these arrangements can in your own garden (I have lots of these in my own), so if you are looking for ways of creating your own DIY floral arrangements, these are perfect.

Just wait until you see the wedding cake! This two tier, rough iced white cake, decorated with pansies and ranunculus and placed upon an oak slice, again adheres to the rustic charm of the styling ideas.

Our thanks go to Katharine Davies Photography for sharing such fabulous pictures. I hope you love these ideas and can use some for your own wedding, or even your hen party…

Organic and Natural

“The inspiration for this shoot was was the beautiful borders of the garden. The venue allowed the decoration to bring the outside in, and the design was colourful yet very organic and natural. The stunning wide windows allowed the sunlight to flood in, filling the venue with a very peaceful feeling.

“The interior decoration had to sit in harmony with the naturalness of the outside, and I simply love the solid oak table and understated chairs. Woodland flowers, bluebells and forget-me-nots perfectly matched the wildflower stationery range.

“Gathered from the cutting patch, you could perfectly implement the design of the table and bouquet flowers in a more DIY scenario. The look is simple but ever-so effective. This continued with the pretty edible flowers in the cocktails; prosecco and Chambord and gin and ginger.”
