On 21st and 22nd March the PapaKåta spring 2015 open weekend took place, with hundreds of guests visiting Escrick Park to take a look at PapaKåta’s gorgeous tipis and Sperry tents, meet a host of talented suppliers, and seek inspiration for their wedding or event. Sally from PapaKåta told us all about the weekend…
“As the sun shone at this year’s PapaKåta Spring Open Weekend we welcomed over 700 visitors to Escrick Park Estate in York to see our beautiful Tipis and Sperry tents. Brides and grooms, event planners and birthday boys and girls had the opportunity to plan and visualize their own event whilst enjoying the warm and inviting surroundings of our beloved tents.
“As well as showcasing our tents, the Open Weekend allows us to meet clients face to face and answer any planning questions, inspire them and help visualize their own event. It’s always a pleasure to meet so many excited, happy faces and help them to plan an event that will create memories that last a lifetime.
“At PapaKåta we’re always innovating and expanding our trend-led collections of furnishings so we can offer clients a variety of ways to create a unique event that’s truly memorable for their guests. Some new additions to our portfolio reigned supreme at the Open Weekend, with the ethereal floating globe lantern grid, flower adorned floral crown, and rustic wooden star popular with visitors over the weekend. Firm favourites and hero pieces, such as our stunning handcrafted circular oak bar and festoon light walkway, were also on display, helping to give the event that added sparkle.
“Visitors were welcomed with fruity, fresh cocktails from Speakeasy Libations, and Booth Revolution provided a take-home photo memento of the day. Filmore & Union not only ensured tummies were satisfied, but also answered questions and inspired those searching for the perfect event menu, and sweet treats by Choose Cake were in abundance.
“Florists Lucy MacNicoll Floral Design, Firenza Floral Design and bespoke stationer The Charming Press inspired guests with botanical details whilst helping them to plan some of the finer details on their planning lists, and the weekend was captured by wedding and event photographer Helen Abraham Photography.”
