Today we have a visually stunning and unique design that is really inspiring. Forget pretty pastels, today is all about wedding styling with ‘moody hues’.
These rich, moody colours give such a warm, cosy feel which is just perfect for winter weddings. The dark table linen is the base for the beautiful wedding tablescape, and the use of fern foliage and dark red flowers, dark crockery, burgundy napkins, gold cutlery and candlesticks bring the whole ‘moody’ look together.
This bold, dramatic, impact styling is fabulous and creates a wedding look that really stands out from the crowd.
High Drama Wedding Styling
“This Moody Hues wedding styling look is high drama. Dark, theatrical and bold, but softened by layering deep shades of navy and mauve on black, and bathing the whole scheme in the softest candlelight.”
Opulent Highlights
“For the colour palette we used a base of black and ink, layered with navy, deep mauve and dusky grey shades. Gold cutlery and brass details added opulent highlights.
“The tablescape featured black crockery, gold cutlery and dark, elegant glassware. The table linen had to be long enough to touch the floor, trail and billow.”
Seasonal Foliage
“Seasonal foliage trailed along the table with moody blooms dotted throughout created a dramatic look. The foliage placed around the table decor created a beautifully intertwined and expressive table runner.”
Watercolour
“Watercolour, which is very 2017, adds texture and modern styling, and the soft washed indigo cake was dramatic and beautiful. This colour combination mirrored the stationery. White allowed the indigo watercolour to pop, and a clean, simple font completed the look.
“The dried petal confetti created a beautiful feature, displayed in geometric brass vases to add edge and style.”
