Today I’m delighted to share this wonderful modern warehouse wedding styling, photographed by Emily Rose Photography. With green and gold as the colour palette, the creative team used patterns and textures to create a fabulous styling concept that adds such elegance to the industrial style backdrop of exposed brick walls and tall glass windows.
We’ve seen before how well metallics complement lush green foliage, and this winning combination is key to the styling. Gold lanterns and votives shine amongst the foliage table runner, while the gold patterned china gives a subtle nod to the theme. This even carries through to the incredible ceremony balloon arch, where gold balloons and green foliage add colour to the mostly white display.
I simply must mention the bride’s dress as well… wow! This fit and flare style dress by Lillian West with keyhole back is simply breathtaking, and its allover lace design ticks the pattern and texture boxes too!
So, whether your wedding is taking place in a warehouse style space, you want ideas for combining foliage and metallics, or you’re looking for wedding inspiration that’s modern yet classically elegant, immerse yourself in this fabulous modern warehouse wedding styling…
Modern Elegance
“I wanted this shoot to inspire my southern brides to think outside the box of country charm weddings and explore the idea of modern elegance. I envisioned dramatic light, deep greens, and gold accents, and our amazing team took my vision to the next level.
“Set in the industrial warehouse venue of Events at Haven, geometric lanterns paired perfectly with delicate china and lush florals. I also loved the idea of using new patterns and textures, incorporating them throughout the shoot from the luxurious velvet linens to the ceremony balloon arch. We even managed to mirror our gold hexagonal pattern in our lanterns, votives, cake table linens and bread plates. I was so pleased with how well each individual detail worked together.
“Our couple, Sarah and Evan, were so natural together. Their real life love story really brought this wedding inspiration shoot to life. Sarah’s dress featured a high neck and beautiful open back, which her loose updo hairstyle complemented perfectly. Sarah carried an incredible cascading bouquet featuring white roses, eucalyptus and hints of boxwood, and Evan wore a slim fitted black tuxedo to pull the elegant look together. Sunlight pouring through the giant windows bathed Sarah and Evan in beautiful light while we took portraits, they cut their cake, and even did a little dancing.
“The perfect blend of modern and elegance was our goal, and I think we achieved that. Everything about this shoot went beyond my expectations, and I could not be more pleased. I hope this shoot inspires brides to explore new ideas and create something beautifully unique.”
