This minimalist botanical wedding inspiration was styled by the hugely talented Amo Creative. Amo wanted to create styling to bring the outdoors in, and this beautiful concept certainly does that. I adore Amo’s pairing of greenery, one of the Pantone colours of the year, with crisp white and splashes gold. It’s very clean and minimalist, which is a big wedding trend right now.

Amo and the team used tropical leaves as the main focus of this minimalist botanical wedding shoot, and it looks fabulous. They used palm leaves in a large vase for the table centrepiece, as the table runner and also as cute place settings.

Palm Leaf Theme

An amazing tropical palm leaf backdrop created a real focal point in the room, and the palm leaf theme ran through the styling to the beautifully illustrated stationery too, tying the concept together.

The venue for this shoot was The Conservatory Franschhoek, South Africa. The botanical styling works brilliantly with the venue’s large windows, but would also look fabulous in most venues.

Modern Wedding Dress

In keeping with the botanical theme, the wedding dress, Iris, comes from Zanne Couture’s ‘Botanical Collection’. It’s modern and clean cut with pure white lace and tulle, and a halter top with an interesting embossed lace.

Minimal Make-Up

For the bride’s minimal make-up look, a mature burgundy lip colour enhanced her lips, soft, peach cheeks complemented her delicate complexion, and dark brown shadow and a touch silvery gold accented her eyes.

Indoor Botanics

The pictures by Monique Smiles Photography show these unique and interesting ways of bringing the outdoors in beautifully. Botanical wedding styling is of course another big trend, and these styling ideas show that an indoor wedding can be just as botanical as an outdoor one.

If you like everything to look crisp and clean, this is wedding styling for you.

Minimalist Approach

“This shoot embodies the concept of bringing the outdoors, indoors. Built around the Pantone colour of the year, greenery, we took a minimalist approach with the decor and added some golden touches.”
