On a cold winter’s day in January, a creative team brought together by Seyi Olusanya of Cedar Events joined forces to create a stylish vision of wedding inspiration for brides and grooms, in one of the most luxurious settings in England, historic Blenheim Palace. The shoot was captured beautifully by Cristina Rossi Photography, and Cristina told us how the shoot came together…
“When I was approached by Seyi Olusanya of Cedar Events to photograph a styled shoot at Blenheim Palace I was beyond excited. Seyi set about creating a mood board full of rich opulent colours and majestic inspiration so her chosen team of top wedding professionals could liaise with each other to ensure her vision was delivered. I personally have worked with many of the team previously and knew each and every one of them would go beyond the call of duty to create gorgeous products for me to capture.
“The team were given unprecedented access to the venue and we set about transforming the Orangery from the early hours of the morning. Heather and Andy from Essential Flowers worked tirelessly to create incredible floral designs to be used throughout the shoot. This included designing three floral centrepieces which stood majestically on the table to create a labyrinth of floral splendour, a stunning floral arch for the sweetheart table, as well as a beautiful adorned floral tree for one of the cake tables.
“The gowns were by Kosibah and were made from the finest silk, satin, brocade and lace fabrics. These were perfectly accessorised with jewellery by Rosie Weisencrantz and stunning brooch bouquets by The Finer Details.
“The table was beautifully covered with fabulous linen supplied by Libi from Over The Top Rentals and styled with an abundance of stationery details designed and created exclusively for this shoot by Jinder of The Finer Details. Jinder designed a monogram combined with an image that Blenheim Palace had sent her to create venue specific stationery that was used on everything, from the luxurious silk invitation box that introduced the shoot, menus, place cards, quirky sayings on round cards for the side plates, cute cards for the back of the bride and groom chairs that said ‘He Asked’ and ‘She Said Yes’, and table names which were named after different rooms in the palace. In particular I love the hanging place cards that are finished with a luxurious satin ribbon, and a pearl and crystal bead, that rested on the stunning wine glasses which were provided by His Grace.
“The stunning cake display created by Elizabeth of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium oozed majestic splendour. Elizabeth accented everything she made, from cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, cookies and petit fours, with and array of detail that included edible gold cameos, cherubs, and handcrafted sugar flowers.”
The team is very grateful to His Grace, The Duke of Marlborough, for granting such unprecedented access at a time when he was in residence, and to the wonderful team at Blenheim Palace for their support and hospitality.
