Set at the very luxurious and elegant Waddesdon Manor, the creative team want to show you how perfect the venue could be for your wedding, and how you could create your wedding styling to mirror the venue’s own elegance.
The chic and sophisticated styling of this shoot is perfect for any country house or stately home wedding venue…
“Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire is one of Europe’s last remaining properties in le style Rothschild. It was built in the late 19th century as a showcase for Baron Ferdinand’s unique collections of decorative fine arts and legendary hospitality, and today the Manor is owned by the National Trust, but still managed by the Rothschild family.
“The team were keen to launch the manor for a small number of weddings each year, and I was called upon to organise, style and design this shoot to show how Waddesdon Manor can look and feel on a beautiful wedding day.
“The White Room has recently been licensed for wedding ceremonies for up to 60 guests, and the idea of the shoot was to show how it can be styled for a luxurious and semi-classical wedding day.
“Waddesdon Manor and its White Room are naturally beautiful so the focus was on a classic look with a contemporary twist. Waddesdon is known for combining the old and the new in artworks and sculptures across the Estate, and the very contemporary broken porcelain ‘Porca Miseria’ piece in the Blue Room is one such example of the juxtapose of old and new working seamlessly.
“There is magnificent light in the White Room, and for maximum appeal we chose typical bridal colours. We focused on stunning high quality pieces and a less is more approach, using lush florals and a mix of banqueting and one-off hired antique furnishings to suit the location.
“The house itself can host wedding breakfasts/banquets for up to 30 guests, but more typically a separate bespoke marquee would be needed for dining and dancing.”
