Botanical wedding styling is one of our favourite trends. Swapping traditional floral arrangements for beautiful succulents and lush foliage helps achieve a fresh, modern take on rustic décor.

Another big wedding styling trend is metal — lots of metal. Rose gold, copper, pewter… it’s all on trend right now. Mix these two together and you get the most incredible, beautiful, modern wedding styling.

Amanda Karen Photography’s pictures of this copper and botanical wedding shoot are fabulous. The creative team has created such a visual delight with these ideas, and the colour palette of green and copper is so modern and has a real sense of luxury…

Urban Luxury

“With this styled shoot we wanted to show modern brides how they can have a luxurious wedding in a more urban/industrial setting. Brides are so used to seeing huge manor houses or wistful garden locations for this look, but we wanted to show how it can also work in a really urban location such as a Central London bar. The Refinery by Drake and Morgan was the perfect fit.

“We wanted copper as the main metal because couples frequently ask how how to incorporate the copper trend. The succulents were important too, to soften the masculine edge that copper can bring to a tablescape.”

Modern Romance

“The pretty but dramatic tablescape with the greenery curtain shows brides how they can achieve the trend of hanging their flowers. We kept things modern amongst the romance of the shoot by using geometric shapes in the cake and stationery.”

Bridal Style

“The copper look was also incorporated into the bride’s style with an absolutely breathtaking dress. We particularly loved the flowing nature of the skirt.

“Our groom wore a striking blue suit, relaxed yet stylish with an open neck shirt, perfect for the modern man.”
