Is anyone else fed up of all this wind and rain? I’m SO looking forward to spring, the lighter evenings and (hopefully) some spring sunshine! Today I’m going to make you forget about the gloomy weather outside, as I’m sharing a whole lot of colourful citrus wedding styling ideas which will brighten your week.
Citrus elements are a great way of injecting a pop of colour into wedding styling. The luscious green of limes, bold oranges and vibrant yellow lemons work so well as a bright colour palette. Not only does the vibrancy look fabulous, but using these natural products is also a cost-effective way of styling your wedding.
This citrus wedding styling is simply stunning. For the ceremony styling, each chair has its own name place stationery, delicately pinned to a citrus fruit. Beautiful foliage, candles and scattered fruits line the aisle, which looks so pretty against the elegant white chairs.
If you’re looking for sweet treat inspiration, then check out the dessert table. There are super-cute unicorn and cactus macarons, yummy iced ring doughnuts and beautiful citrus and geode themed wedding cakes.
The main focal point of the shoot is the incredible wedding table. The plates, each with a lemon place name, sit on beautiful macramé table mats. A simple scattering of citrus fruits surround the pretty foliage and floral displays, which complement the colour of the citrus fruits perfectly. The style of the displays carries through to the bride’s magnificent bridal bouquet and groom’s buttonhole, which have an almost tropical vibe.
The styling team found some of the most beautiful wedding dresses to showcase in this shoot. There’s a traditional strapless dress, a beautiful short lace dress, and also one of the most amazing patterned wedding dresses I have seen in ages, covered in a green fern and foliage design. The bride also wears a pair of Kate Spade shoes to die for (I need these in my life!)
These citrus wedding styling ideas are so refreshing, and just what we need to clear away the winter blues! I hope you enjoy these fabulous ideas, captured by Stacy Able Photography.
Refreshing Change
“The idea of this styled shoot came to play once we had the title, L.A. Modern. Once we knew the theme, shoot coordinator Madeline and I excitedly bounced ideas back and fourth. Over the course of a few months we recruited a team of wedding professionals who could execute our ideas.
“The warmth of the wood flooring, walls and staircase at Laurel Hall, against the bright pops of colour from the citrus wedding styling, were inspiring and such a refreshing change of pace to the current trends in the wedding industry.

“Details included DIY neon signs, unicorn and cactus macarons, individual fruits as escort cards and a vintage VW van for the newly-wed’s getaway car.
“The bride could not choose just one dress from all the options. She instead opted to wear one for her ceremony, a quick change for the reception and a more casual dress to drive off to her honeymoon. As each dress had its own character and beautiful details, it is no surprise she had a hard time choosing just one!”
