Boho Beach Elopement Styling in Sardinia

When thinking of destinations for an elopement or intimate wedding abroad I imagine there are few places more beautiful than Sardinia. This Italian island with picturesque mountain views and rocky coasts has stunning beaches regarded as some of the finest in the world. And it’s on one of these beaches, La Pelosa in Stintino, that this beautiful boho elopement shoot took place.

As you’d expect with a beach elopement the details are simple, with the stunning flowers one of the few styling elements. The table blooms’ orange hues add colour to an otherwise very neutral, minimalist setup, with unfussy place settings enhancing the elegance of the look while allowing the flowers to take centre stage.

Flowers transform the naked cake too, elevating the simple design to a thing of breathtaking beauty. The wild look of flowers and foliage cascading from top to bottom really adds to the boho vibe, and is perfect for the beach setting.

For the bridal styling, the free-spirited bride’s ruffled dress and cape give her a relaxed, carefree style. They look wonderful blowing in the sea breeze as she walks barefoot across the sand with her groom.

Beautiful and Unique

“This beach elopement shoot took place in my homeland of Sardinia, in one of the most beautiful and unique places — The Pelosa Beach in Stintino.

“It is a true Sardinian oasis, with turquoise waters and white sands. An ancient sixteenth-century watchtower on La Pelosa beach, the Torre della Pelosa, was part of Sardinia’s marine defence system.

“The colours used in the shoot are warm, and include copper, orange and cream. We used strong materials such as the wedding dress, a unique piece by Elisabetta Delogu, a talented Sardinian stylist. All the work on this shoot brings a spirit of warmth, freedom, personality, origin and land.”
