“The ceremony was held on a Vineyard Estate with a natural waterfall, in Paarl, Cape Town, South Africa. The path to the altar was through an olive grove, with white ribbons attached to the trees and wooden hearts laid on the floor. We served lemonade and biltong to guests on their way to the ceremony area, in the middle of the path.
“Our colour scheme was white, light pink and greens. All the tables were decorated with different antique table settings, ranging from trophies, sugar cups, bowls, tea pots, butter trays etc, filled with flowers to create something a little different.
“At the reception we had a DJ who played throughout the night, and all the music was selected by us. This was one of the best things we did because we didn’t hear anything we didn’t like and it kept people on the dance floor.”
