Lauren and JR’s wedding, photographed by Kate Harrison Photography, was all about celebrating their love with their closest family and friends. Both avid readers, they incorporated children’s books into their wedding details, including gold paper hats they made for their guests!
“Our goal was to create a warm wedding; an intimate celebration of love, family and friendship. We spent a lot of time thinking about how we could involve those who have helped to make us the people that we are. One of our best friends served as the officiant, and another dear friend performed a beautiful rendition of Feist’s ‘Past and Present’ on his ukulele for our first dance.
“We are both keen readers, so incorporated books into our wedding as decorations, table names and escort cards, and the paper crowns we made for our guests were a reference to ‘Where The Wild Things Are’. We had dessert bar, cocktail hour with hula hoops, and a string quartet played songs by Coldplay, Feist and Arcade Fire.”
