Today’s real wedding pictures are from the beautiful wedding of Julie and George in Warwickshire. Following a ceremony at The Christian Centre in Bedworth, which included a sand ceremony, their wedding photographer Voyteck Photography captured lots of stunning images of the couple at Astley Castle, which George’s parents had hired for the week…
“Our wedding style was ‘Shabby Chic with hints of yellow’. As the style began in Great Britain, we thought it would be the perfect way to welcome our American guests into the country.
“As George and I are both artists, we designed our own invitations, order of service, then painted scriptures and welcome signs on old wooden boards. George’s Mum and I handmade yellow bunting, our aisle runner, table cloths, and stamped out thousands of yellow butterflies. We decorated our reception with bunting, paper lanterns and fairy lights, then made our own centrepieces from fish bowls, candles and paper cut-outs.
“Our wedding had many surprise elements, including a worship team, a sand ceremony, a dance down the aisle, afternoon tea and cakes, a photo booth, live music from The Fallows, more food, a DJ, a rehearsed first dance to “Jai Ho”, and A CASTLE!
“As a surprise to my family and I, George’s parents hired us Astley Castle for a whole week. The 16th century castle has links to three Queens of England and Victorian novelist George Eliot. The castle was gutted by a fire in 1978 and left as a ruin, but was recently renovated by combining modern architecture within the bare and ancient ruined outer shell, which perfectly fitted into our wedding style… and our photos.
“George and I looked at hundreds of wedding photographers before finding the talented Voyteck, who we instantly booked. His relaxed, and professional approached allowed us to enjoy every moment. We are so happy that we get to keep these photos forever… each one is a mini work of art.”
