Nicola and Paul’s wedding, photographed by Pixies in the Cellar, took place at Mere Court Hotel in Cheshire, on the Sunday of the Royal Jubilee weekend. Although really bad weather was forecast it only amounted to a few spots of rain, but this was still a great opportunity for Nicola to don her wellies for some fantastic pictures in the grounds of the venue.
“After viewing a few potential venues we decided on Mere Court Hotel for our wedding which had everything we wanted; a beautiful building and grounds, a ceremony room to keep guests travelling to a minimum and overnight accommodation to keep the party going into the early hours!
“We wanted to keep the style simple and elegant, so opted for a grey colour theme which went beautifully with the bridesmaids pink peony bouquets. There were matching white peonies rested in candelabra for the centrepieces and some Cancer Research favours/pin badges which was a lovely touch as many of the wedding party could relate to this charity.
“In keeping with the colour theme we then chose a grey Rolls Royce Phantom for our wedding car, which was a real treat!”
