We adore this week’s real wedding feature, sent to us by the wonderful Lily and Frank Photography. Amy and Andy created the most wonderful wedding, which included Greek Cypriot wedding traditions including the groom’s ‘last shave’.
We love Amy’s ethereal Claire Pettibone wedding dress, the beautifully decorated marquee with the cute jugs filled with flowers, and the amazing party they had in the evening. What is not to love about this wedding?
We hope you get lots of inspiration from this incredible wedding…
“I knew I wanted to get married in my home town in Wales, and I was lucky as Andy thinks North Wales is one of the nicest places in the world too! We chose Tros Yr Afon as it was somewhere quite relaxed, we could dress the venue as we pleased, and also party all night long.
“We wanted lots of colour and quirky little trinkets, but we didn’t have a specific colour scheme; if we liked the colour, we included it. We wanted our flowers to be quite vintage, very colourful yet natural.
“I wanted to achieve a vintage look with my dress as we were getting married in an old Church in a rural location. I didn’t need to go to town on accessories as my dress was quite detailed, and the lace look was great in tying in with the Greek ceremony — lace = Cyprus!
“The mix of Welsh choir with a Greek ceremony made for quite an occasion! We included all the Greek traditions and then had a Welsh singer finish off with Ave Maria; it was perfect.”
