We love it when we are sent a wedding with a super-cool bride and groom, and that’s just what we have for you today. This wedding took place at the George Brown Botanical Gardens in the Australian outback, which created the perfect setting for a laid-back, fun wedding.
The groom’s cousin, Josh from Joshua Kane Photography, photographed the wedding, and these pictures just go to show what a difference being relaxed with your photographer can make.
“Our wedding was exactly what we wanted it to be — casual, fun, celebrated with family and friends, delicious food and lots of dancing; our perfect night. We met as 15 and 16 year olds at Matt’s cousin’s party… Matt’s cousin, Josh Wood, was our amazing photographer at our wedding!
“The George Brown Botanical Gardens was a wonderful spot to get married. We picked the Heritage Lawn, so by 4:30pm there was a lot of shade and the backdrop was a beautiful bright red Ginger Tree.
“Our bonbonnieres were little jam jars, and the plum jam was homemade by Matt’s aunty. The jars were decorated by us, and we used them as not only a thank you but also the name card so everyone could find their own seat.
“Josh and Matt spent a lot of time together growing up so having someone we knew as our photographer just made it so comfortable for us. Josh is extremely professional and has this ability to make you feel super-comfortable and confident during the shoot. He flew all the way to Darwin to shoot our wedding and with hardly any time to prepare (and in a totally unfamiliar city!) he produced these amazing shots, kept everyone calm and was so time efficient. I get so many compliments on our photos, I would recommend this guy to everyone! He is an absolute pro and we love him for the amazing gift he has given us, something we can look back on and treasure forever.”
