Sherie and Daniel’s wedding, photographed by Modern Vintage Weddings, took place at Winkworth Farm in Wiltshire, a venue that was perfect for their vision of a ‘vintage wedding with a British summer theme’. They were married in a civil ceremony in the sunken rose garden, and then enjoyed a reception in the renovated Cotswold stone barn.
“We had a vision of having a vintage British summer type theme, and we decided early on that if we were going to get married then we go full out and make it to as close as what we both really wanted, rather than what was convenient.
“We saw a number of venues before we had even heard of Winkworth Farm. A lot of the venues we were looking at were very generic and not appealing to either of us and what we wanted to do with our wedding. The first time we went to Winkworth Farm it was a very wet and grey Saturday morning, but we instantly knew it was the venue for us.
“The venue had so much room and different areas where people could relax between the formalities, and with a good number of children and ‘childish adults’ this was perfect. We knew that just by adding our own small touches we had the perfect venue for our British summer wedding; all we were hoping was that we’d have one of the good few days of British summer weather!”
