Dawn and Matthew’s relaxed and fun festival style wedding took place on a farm. Their day included lots of personal details, including a VW Campervan (what festival would be complete without one?) which they chose as their wedding transport because they used to own one before they emigrated to Australia. Their guests enjoyed a garden party the day before the wedding and camped in the field ready for the big day, and in true farm style they had a cool barn dance during their evening reception.
If you are planning a festival or farm wedding we hope you get loads of inspiration from these pictures taken by Tyron Craig Mackenzie Photography.
“Our wedding theme was based on a festival as we are both passionate about music, have been to many festivals and had our first kiss at a festival! We picked Woodland Valley Farm as our venue as it was really flexible and beautiful, and it had the option for camping and accommodation on site which was a great plus.
“The farm was very relaxed and allowed us to create the look we wanted, which was so important to us. We utilised the fact it was a farm to our advantage, using old milk urns and watering cans in the decor and hay bales as seating. We chose pastel colours which again allowed flexibility and we felt instead of having only two or three colours a mishmash of complementing shades would look amazing. We had flowers everywhere in little jam jars and also candles and fairy lights, and everything was handmade by ourselves or family and friends; everything had a meaning and a story. We had strings of photographs of ourselves with our family and friends on the barn walls to remind everyone of how important they are to us, especially as we have emigrated to Australia.”
