Today we have pictures from this beautiful, elegant wedding to share with you, taken by Hayley Ruth Photography. Emma and Ed’s wedding took place at Barrington Hall in Cambridge, and was styled with lots of homemade touches, creating a very elegant feel. They also created a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ for the children…
“We’re both very traditional at heart, but we didn’t want a bog standard wedding and we wanted to put a lasting stamp on everything. The styling we chose suited us as a couple; it’s probably a reflection of us in a way. Because we are far from boring, we put more personality into Evie’s part of the day… I think many adults would have loved to have joined in the tea party!
“Being a wedding and event stationer, there was never any doubt that the papery bit of the day was going to be anything short of excessive! We created everything from the save the date cards to the invitations (including a special invitation for the children), order of the day, confetti cones which had the words from the readings on them, the table plan, recipe book table name cards (Ed’s a Pastry Chef so all of the tables were named after his favourite French desserts), place cards that included each guest’s individual menu, tags for the rings (“with these rings”) and for the cake knife (“Cut me, Eat me”), Alice in Wonderland colouring mats for the children; the list goes on. The bunting was handmade by my Aunt… all 30+ meters of it!
“The shoes were created to match elements of the dress and the bouquet was made from vintage jewellery. There were many personal and individual touches.”
