Katie and Hugh’s wedding makes us long for summertime! They married at Bournemouth Town Hall and then went to the beach for an amazing British seaside wedding.
If you are thinking of having a seaside inspired wedding; do it! Katie and Hugh really went to town on their seaside wedding theme. They adorned the reception with bunting, beach hut string lights, spades, swimwear, sun hats, and even had a dinghy full of beer!
Guests enjoyed fun games including bingo, and a solo guitarist serenaded them in the sunshine as they sipped gin cocktails and dined on hog roast.
You can see in everyone’s faces how much fun they’re having… resulting in a mad dash into the sea! Enjoy these beautiful pictures by Anna Morgan Photography…

DIY Seaside Wedding
“We were inspired to create a Great British seaside wedding, most of which was DIY. We decorated the reception venue ourselves with seaside themed props, and dressed the tables with hessian runners and little pots of herbs.
“Our very talented bridesmaid, Rosie, made the most amazing wine stopper cork board for our seating plan.”
Sunflowers
“We used beautiful home-grown sunflowers as our wedding flowers, and our ushers wore gorse flower buttonholes picked from the heath on the morning of the wedding. We also had home-made cupcakes made by my stepmum.
“Tom’s Bespoke Bartending Co. made our guests amazing cocktails that they enjoyed on the terrace. Then, as it was such a hot day, some of our guests decided to go for a swim! We had provided towels just in case this happened!”
