If you don’t fancy a big white wedding with hundreds of guests, and are looking for something small and incredibly intimate, then maybe think about an elopement. We don’t mean rushing off to Gretna Green! How about Cornwall?
This is exactly what Lizzy and Alan did for their wedding. They had an stunning, intimate BoHo Cornwall elopement, with picturesque surroundings. They had no one else to worry about but themselves on their special day. After the ceremony Lizzy, Alan and their son sat on the cliff-side overlooking the sea and enjoyed a decadent picnic in the sunshine. Just perfect!
These amazing pictures by Thomas Frost Photography show just how lovely an elopement can be…
A Special Day Together
“Our BoHo Cornwall elopement was an outdoor ceremony with only witnesses. As it was such an intimate day we didn’t have to worry about things such as a theme or styling. It was really just a bouquet, buttonhole and flowers in my hair.
“My dress was the complete opposite to what I ever imagined, but I would never change it. It was comfortable, classic, but with a boho feel. It was also easy to move in which I knew would be important with a 10 month old to look after and photos on the beach.
“I stuck to tradition by having something old, something new and something borrowed. My friends have passed down the same garter, with each friend adding something to it when they marry.
“It was wonderful to feel at ease, knowing it was the first day of the rest of our lives together. It was also amazing to spend such a special day together, not worrying about anyone but ourselves. The whole day was perfect, and we have so many fabulous pictures to help us remember it. We will never get bored of them.”
