The wedding of Joann and Jo, planned by Details by Design Events, is so quirky we just had to share it with you. Photographed by Paco and Betty, the wedding took place among the Redwoods at Nestldown in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, where Joann and Jo went all out creating a 1920’s fashion inspired wedding which looked amazing. They even had paper boys delivering programmes to all the guests!
“The theme for the day wasn’t originally a theme, but sort of a plethora of things we’ve always been drawn to. When everything came together, it just made sense somehow. We have always been interested in DIY and antique/vintage things, whether it be art, music, or even old ways of doing things like typewriting or handwriting a letter. I guess you could say that our goal wasn’t to do anything that hasn’t been done before, but to try and create a timeless memory by gathering things that have always been inspiring to us.
“The most memorable moment for us was probably seeing family and friends in one place; everyone happy, laughing and just having a good time, realising that something like that is very rare.”
