The results are in and shortly we’ll announce the winner of The Wedding Community’s 2019 Picture of the Year competition. Before we do we’d like to thank everyone who voted and all the photographers who took part in Picture of the Day in 2019. We’d also like to congratulate our 12 finalists again, and give a special mention to the two photographer’s whose pictures took second and third place…
2nd Place
Second place went to Katie Sidell Photography for this fantastic picture taken during the fireworks display at Amy and James’ wedding at West Tower in Lancashire. Katie told us how she had to lay in a puddle in order to get this shot…
“The weather had been changeable throughout the day, but fortunately the rain just about held off for the display itself. I was conscious of being particularly on point for the final flourish of fireworks, and actually ended up lying flat on my back in a puddle to capture this one!”
3rd Place
Mini and Me Photography took third place with this beautiful picture from Nicola and Chris’ wedding in Kent. Dani told us how the light over the water was just perfect for the shot…
“After the speeches had finished we stole Nicola and Chris as the light over the water was just perfect. We didn’t pose them in any way, we just asked them to have a cuddle, so this picture is all them really.”
