This beautiful picture by Photos by Jessica received the most votes in our September Picture of the Day competition, and becomes the 9th picture to go through to our Picture of the Year vote. Our congratulations go to Jessica, who told us how she captured the image…
“This photo was taken at Aime and Dan’s wedding at Barrandov Opera in Suffolk. At every wedding I like to try and get one epic flash shot, and on this evening, after a truly magnificent day, I looked up and saw a sky full of twinkling stars. I got my equipment, and importantly my head torch, and headed off into a darkened field to set up my camera on it’s tripod. I set up my camera and off-camera flash so I would let in enough light to capture the starry sky, and Dan and Aime were only too pleased to come and see what I was up to!
“It was my last shot of the night and I love it. I love how the light pollution has made the sky all orange, I love that Dan and Aime are wrapped in each others arms, and that before I took the photo they were in complete darkness. It was the perfect end to a perfect evening.”
